"The" Cardigan..

Ahí estaba, escondido entre kilos y kilos de lana, en la ultima percha y casi sin poder respirar. Durante estas semanas he estado buscando cardigans enormes, de los años 80`s, con grandes lunares de colores, estampados y si es posible fabricados a mano por alguna dulce abuelita como regalo de cumpleaños a su nieta en el 1989. Creo que caí en una de las tiendas Vintage donde más punto de los años 80´s pude encontrar. Como os comentaba antes lo vi, me lo probé y poco más tuve que hacer, Yassin me miró y dijo, es para ti, los colores, la lana y su forma me envolvieron desde el primer momento. Lo mas increíble de todo su precio, casi me da vergüenza decirlo, tan solo 16 euros y ya esta en mi armario y me estará mimando todo el invierno...

There it was, hidden in between tons and tons of wool, on the last hanger and almost without any room to breathe. During the past weeks i had been looking for big woolly cardigans  from the 80's with colorful patterns and if possible that had been hand made by a sweet grandma as a present to her niece in 1989. I think i stepped in one of the vintage shops with most knit from the 80's of all. As i told you, i saw it, i tried it on and soon after i had to do it, Yassin looked at me and said, it was made for you, the colors, the wool and the shape right from the start. The most incredible thing of all, it's price, so much that i'm almost ashamed of telling you... only 16 Euros and it is now in my wardrobe looking forward to cuddling me all winter.

Años 80, superación, buena musica y miles de recuerdos, entre ellos os dejo LA PELICULA que para mi marco todo en esta epoca..

On the hunt

Dedicando mi tiempo libre a la moda y atrapando todo lo que veo, os dejo unas fotos que quiero compartir con vosotros. Me gustaría recorrer mundo para descubrir y descubrir, cada vez tengo más hambre de moda y cada minuto más ganas de aprender..

The lace..

Adornando cualquier outfit y haciendo sonreír a cualquier blusa, lazos, pajaritas, cintas de raso, llevan tiempo con nosotros y parece que se quedan..

Able to decorate any outfit and to put a smile on any blouse... laces, bow ties and satin ribbons have been with us for a long time and it looks like they are not leaving any time soon.

Pure Vintage..

Está en la calle, está de moda y es tendencia absoluta "Vintage Style", comenzabamos a verlo hace unos años en importantes ciudades europeas y poco a poco a ido inundando Madrid, cuando digo poco es porque hasta ahora todavía es complicado encontrarlo en muchas tiendas, lo cual prefiero.

Este estilo de nuestros antepasados resulta magnifico para quienes lo saben combinar, yo personalmente encuentro el secreto de su éxito cuando lo mezclamos con otro tipo de prendas mas actuales, ahí esta el jugo y el buen sabor del Vintage.

Una falda o una blusa de los años 80 mezclada con unos buenos botines pasados de moda, resulta hoy en día lo más "trendy".

Lo antiguo de ayer es lo nuevo de hoy

It's on the streets, it's in trend, "Vintage Style", we could already see it a few years ago in important European cities and since then it has slowly been flooding Madrid. I say slowly because there are only a few specialized shops in the city, which is not necessarily a bad thing. This style which originated from our ancestors is fantastic for those who know how to combine it. I personally find that the secret is when combining it with other types of clothing items, more recent ones and thats where the essence of tasteful Vintage is achieved.

A skirt or a blouse from the 80's combined with a cool out of fashion boot is a perfect example the most "trendy".

Within Vintage, we can make different styles stand out, the more conservative 40's, wide flares from the 70's, high waist skirts and pants from the 80's and we can still go way back to the 30's and 20's... Search for clothing items and be fearless when combining them, adjusting them to your silhouette being always being true to yourself.
